Profile Summary
A wicketkeeper-batsman from Rajasthan, Chetan Bist made his first-class debut against Services in 2013. However, it turned out to be a frustrating debut for Bist as he was run-out for a paltry score of 4 in that match against Services. Since then, Bist has played more than 20 first-class matches, and he's also represented Rajasthan in ListA cricket. Bist started his batsman as a lower order batsman before he started playing as an opener for Rajasthan. His paramount batting performance came during Ranji season 2018-19 as he played an incredible knock of 159 against Jammu and Kashmir, as a result of which Rajasthan won the match by 75 runs.
Like it happens with many openers, they're either a hit or miss - Chetan Bist is one of those. He either scores big or else gets out early in the innings, most of them being ducks. Against Odisha in December, 2018 - Bist was out for a duck twice in the same match. Even though he bagged a pair in that Ranji contest, Rajasthan won the match. It was a close finish but Bist's failure didn't reflect in the outcome of the match.
