Profile Summary

Nofal is from South Africa who plies his trade in New Zealand now. Born in Johannesburg, Gauteng, Nofal came through Gauteng's age group cricket and even represented South Africa in the 2010 Under 19 World Cup.

A left-arm spinner and more than a useful bat, Nofal switched to New Zealand as he could not break into the South Africa team. The change happened in 2015 and he was awarded a contract by Wellington at the end 2017/18 season.

It is his batting that is grabbing all the headlines during his time with Wellington. During the 2017/18 season, Nofal not only recorded his maiden List A hundred, but also scored his first four-day ton in the final game of the summer - 179 against Central Districts.

In fact his bowling has taken a backseat and he rarely bowls, picking only 9 wickets in 12 first class games for Wellington. Change in country might bring change in fortunes for Nofal, like it did for Mark Chapman.
